Fund Appeal for Solar Project

We are very proud to mention that SCALE has taken on the noble mission of providing solar lights to 250 border villages of India in 2019-2020. So far, 63 border villages have been covered under this initiative which includes 40 on the India-China border and 23 on the India-Nepal border.

Considering that most of these areas are hilly areas and have no motorable roads and also have severe electricity shortages, availability of support becomes extremely essential.

For support, SCALE has been training the selected para-military personnel in repair of its products. Adequate spares are also being stocked to ensure high uptime to users.

During the last eight years, SCALE has been passionately driving solar energy initiatives in rural India. We have taken great strides in serving the marginalized groups in the field of environment.

The idea of a renewable energy cooperative was born in 2011 after looking at the dire need of power in rural and semi-urban areas of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

SCALE is proud to mention that it has designed and developed its own solar technology as well as products. The quality of our solar products match the best in the market. With components from established brands, trained manpower, defined processes coupled with widespread service locations, SCALE has made a big impact in promoting solar energy in rural areas. Apart from setting up the first two solar manufacturing cooperatives in the country which has solar lighted over 15000 homes in Uttarakhand & Uttar Pradesh, SCALE has also trained over 400 unemployed youth in assembly, manufacturing and repairs of solar products.

SCALE is committed to provide to its donors, photographs and details of such beneficiaries.
